I didn't think I'd need this again. But this time, it's not a little gallery of makeshift art. I claim this space to be my pond. A pond I can pour everything--my soul, my thoughts, and my ambitions...my sorrow--into, and not worry about its appearance to others. I don't need to dress it up, polish it head to toe, and present it in a spotlight. No-fucking-sir! It's me time. Sure, I don't have nearly as bad problems as many others, but who says I'm strong enough to take them as it is?

Now for a venting session:
I hold back to be polite, to respect others as much as I can. Is it too much to ask for people to be gentlemen and ladies? All I see, cocky upperclassmen thinking they're the shit (no lie, they really fucking do) when all they have is a huge ego with nothing to show. Think you guys are so tough? You guys are all talk, morons. Loud mouths make you look like fucking monkeys you stupid fucks. Got damn males can't control their testosterone, frickin imbecils. And you girls flirt with every possible guy you can. Cool it down, you're too touchy to be trusted. Changing sides in the blink of an eye, you girls can't make up your fucking mind. Give us guys straight answers, don't dance around it after one thing and act like nothing happened. And take my advice, keep your venting in a blog like this, b/c I'm sure it's better for you. Just slapping it everywhere you go makes you seem like a drama queen who can't control herself, as well as depressing yourself. And c'mon give me a break, I gave up something close to me for you. I thought you'd make the effort to get close to me; I seriously thought we could really click. But if we're never going to take the time, to make the effort, how is it going to work? You're making me go through the same frustration, the same uncertainty, the same PARANOIA AS BEFORE. It's driving me CRAZY.

Don't get me started on what I used to be able to do..I got lazy, it's my fault anyway. My willpower to get things done, *poof*
Oh, the things I'd do to get it back.

Enough for the first day, I've just about exhausted myself. Time to do homework I'd say.

^I was feeling so great about the previous sketch that I colored it AND added Sheena, another awesome character from ToS; I like how my Lloyd drawing turned out better..but I think I did okay on Sheena! Eyes are a little whack though x]

Winter Break.

Ahh, how I love it. A time when I can just sit back, relax, and sit with my thoughts stirring up ideas and weaving intricate patterns.

This year, it will be a time to catch up on my artwork!

BUT, I'm trying to learn how to be more proficient in doing my work so that I will have more time to work on my graphic design and artwork.

My desktop has been acting up. Seriously. The CD-ROM drive doesn't operate properly and can't read any disks, I get error messages everytime I turn on the computer, and now my router doesn't work properly at all either!

As a result, I've backed up most of my main and necessary files on an external hard drive (the 250 GB Seagate FreeAgent drive works wonders :P), and will probably resort to a system restore.

Starting FRESH. I'll need to install photoshop and my computer games all over again..which will be troublesome. In addition, this will slow down my production of art...as well as my gaming sessions! :[[[[

Hopefully I MIGHT, just maybe, fix a the wireless internet problem at least...

To make matters worse, school is starting school! My sister needs wireless internet for communication with her clubs and as well as resources!!! Oh boy, this is going to be frustrating...

Anyway, that is all! Sorry about this! Don't be surprised when this blog turns into a graveyard for a bit xP

Head's hurting, tired, lonely, paranoid, pessimistic, and frustrated. Such describes my day.

I don't know entirely understand why I'm not feeling well today; it's sort of a mystery to be unraveled myself. There was nothing to even piss me off or upset me today, too.

I just felt that I needed to update this since I've been busy with stuff lately. New mini-project in the works as well.

Today was my last day of school for now.
I don't really feel anything other than regret that I didn't make the most of this year.
Other than that and disappointed that I won't be able to see a lot of people next year, I don't feel anything.

I were more productive xD. Yes, I'm alive and well (sorta).

HOWEVER, I was productive for a day pretty recently, thanks to the discovery of the song "Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston. How did this song help me? It gave me material for a wallpaper theme! I didn't use the lyrics in order, I just took what I liked from the song and used it because I got more feeling from those lines. Damn, why do I always go for the corny stuff..

Mind you, this is a WIP (work in progress), and I still need to make some additions and revisions. I'll be posting plenty of art during the summer, which will start for me after next week! Feel free to post your opinions and advice on what else to do to the wallpaper:

Okay, I feel guilty for not being productive lately.

You know what writer's block is right? Of course you do. Well, I suffered a severe case of artist's (if I have the right to call myself that) block.

Anyway I try. Say what you will, it doesn't matter; I just enjoy making art for no apparent reason. I don't do it for the comments (although I enjoy reading them), the recognition, or to show off.

Why make art "work?"

Just go and have a blast and show your style. You know we want to see it.

The worst shooting rampage in the U.S. ever..

The article explains the awful incident, although I still have not found the reason for the massacre. This is shocking, especially since 33 people were killed, and it happened TODAY. It seems the gunman was an Asian male (reported by a student) and was relentless in his shooting. I don't get it, if he had a f***ing problem then he shouldn't take a damn gun to school and start shooting people..I will update everyone (although I don't think anyone reads this; oh well, I can use it to reminisce years later) on the reason for this terrible massacre. *UPDATE* It turns out that the gunman was a "loner" and may have been taking depression medication and was becoming more and more violent. He wrote disturbingly violent plays, and seemingly had a problem with rich kids and religion.

You know what else pisses me off? I've just watched a few videos of the news on youtube, and guess what I found (look in the red rectangle I made)?

I got so steamed since I'm serious a lot (and my friends hate that about me) that I wrote a long comment to this person about how it is not right to judge a whole community/race by ONE INDIVIDUAL's actions. He'll probably just disregard it. I know that racism is pretty much literally everywhere, but I'm just sick and tired of it. Call me a complainer or whatever you want. Feel free to leave your opinions about the incident and/or the comment. I would love to hear different points of view.

Collaboration!

Back in the summer when I actually enjoyed the weekdays, I took up a game called Lineage II. I immersed myself into the game's advanced graphics and large community, and even met great friends. One of my good friends, Usagi (or Syousa, her pen name) was a fantastic artist, and she showed me several of her sketches. Usagi's Christmas special was so neat and well done that I asked her for permission to try and color it digitally in photoshop. Fortunately, she gave me the green light and I began.

First I outlined the sketch with the pen tool in a separate layer, using the "Simulate Pressure" option when it was necessary. Then I began coloring with the base colors in a layer beneath the outline in order to keep the color inside of the outlines. After I had finished with the base colors, I was not satisfied. I had never shaded in photoshop before, so I attempted to cel shade it because it seemed easiest xD.

The Efforts of Practice

One of my friends was generous enough to lend me one of her old drawings last year to practice my digital coloring on. There was so much to do on it that I had to keep putting it off because of school. Fortunately, I had quite a bit of time during Winter Break, so sat down and glued my eyes to the screen until the muscles behind my eyes strained and my head ached.

Bad idea.

Turns out I was too tired to continue it that time, and I received piles and piles of work when I returned to school after the break ended. Now, I'm almost finished with the base colors, and will have to work on adding shades and highlights.

I need someone to smack me every time I get distracted; I'm sure that would help me stay on task.

Once upon a time, I stumbled upon a nice render of the Mozilla Firefox browser's icon.

I decided hey, why not make something to show my love for the reliable internet browser? I was tired of my eye-smoldering-bright wallpaper at the time anyway.

So I popped open photoshop and this was born:

This was one of my first wallpapers, but since then I have made a few more. I really need to start on my projects and preparation for my term paper, so I'm out.

I see so much potential in you. When you get to high school, I'm going to show you all the tips and tricks around school -- and maybe on Photoshop as well. Making things aesthetically eye-catching isn't as easy as it sounds, but a dash of passion will make a simple piece look stunning.
